Channels overview

A channel is a social platform you can publish to. Connecting one is always the same shape: open Settings, then Connected Accounts, press Connect Account, and approve the permission screen that the platform itself shows you. Publiz never asks for your social passwords.

Platform Publish Comments Worth knowing
YouTube video full every post needs a video, titles cap at 100 characters
LinkedIn text, image, video read, reply, delete connects a profile or a company page
TikTok video none comments are not available to apps at our access level
Pinterest image none posts become pins on a board you choose
Bluesky text, image read, reply, delete uses an app password rather than an OAuth screen
Discord text, image, video full posts to a server channel, comments need the optional bot

“Full” comments means read, reply, hide, and delete. Only YouTube and Discord can hide a comment. See comments for the details.

Instagram, Facebook, and Threads are built and working, but Meta’s review of the Publiz app is still in progress, so they cannot be connected yet. They will appear in the same Connect Account dialog once that clears, with nothing for you to do beyond connecting them.

Every workspace starts with all of these channels available. There is nothing to install or enable: make a workspace and the full list above is ready to connect.

The rule is one account per platform in a workspace, and a given social account can only be connected in one workspace at a time across the whole of Publiz. Try to connect an account another workspace already holds and you get told so, rather than ending up with one account posting from two places.

That is what makes workspaces the answer when you have more than one account on the same platform. Two TikTok accounts means two workspaces, and the second workspace is not a stripped-down one: every other channel in it is still free, so it can hold its own YouTube, LinkedIn, and the rest. How many workspaces you get depends on your plan.

It is also what keeps a client’s accounts out of reach of anyone who only has access to a different workspace. See workspaces and members for how that access is handed out.

Disconnect it in the old workspace first, then connect it in the new one. The old workspace keeps its record of the account, so if you move it back later it reclaims the same row rather than starting over.

Reconnecting an account in the workspace that already holds it is not a move at all, it just refreshes the access that platform gave us. That is the normal fix when a connection expires.
